Aspiring to Inspire:
I combine my knowledge and experiences as a field biologist and conservation educator with memory and imagination. My paintings and ceramics explore creative interpretations of today’s forests and landscapes. Flowing, bold and energetic brush strokes use movement, light and color to portray an enrapturing natural world of our times with clues of distress.
The works express a deeply felt connection to nature. Loving nature comes with sadness and concern for our lack of this connection and stewardship. My paintings address our relationship with nature and encourage a shared concern for the urgent need to change course.
